Fine bone china mug screen printed and decorated by hand in Stoke on Trent.  Part of a range featuring mythical creatures accompanied by quotes from English authors & poets.
Illustration of:
The impertinent Unicorn encountered by Lewis Carroll's Alice, galloping through the waves on the front and also splashing around in the mug interior (or in your tea when you drink from it).
Quote/ Inspiration from:
Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll.  The quote reads: Said the Unicorn, ‘if you’ll believe in me, I’ll believe in you. Is that a bargain?’  This is written around the illustration and a longer extract from the story can be read from an attached label.

Blue and Yellow Colour:
The key colour is a beautiful purple-blue, which as light travels through bone china, appears to alter with the changing light.

Hillingdon born Linden Williamson’s love of drawing and painting, combined with a head permanently buried in a book, has stemmed from early childhood. While working as a waitress after graduating from Winchester School of Art her mother suggested that she turn to The Prince’s Trust when realising she needed advice in starting a business. With our support, she was successfully able to combine her two passions to create her literary inspired range through the Enterprise programme. Since launching in 2013 Linden has loved seeing her work in a variety of individual shops and galleries throughout Britain and really enjoys talking to her customers face to face at craft markets.
Linden Williamson produces a range of literary inspired ceramics, prints and cards all printed in England with her original illustrations and inspired by beautiful, wise or witty stories, poems and plays that she loves and hopes you will too!
